Oh, that's so fascinating! Isn't it amazing the way language does that? I can't remember exactly when I figured out that 'Bubbe' and 'Zeyda' were not just cute random syllables we'd designated for our grandparents but actual Yiddish words, but it definitely wasn't for an extremely long time.
