(Yeah, LSD is -- to my understanding -- a lab-based version of a compound derived from ergot fungi; he's also using his lab LSD trial as a springboard for a long consideration of various sorts of magic mushrooms, the different ways fungi derivatives can impact the human brain, and what the evolutionary benefits of that might have been on the side of the mushroom.)
