god, yeah, Australian Phryne and Jack have such a POWERFUL & unique brand of Whatever The Hell Is Going On With Them .... and tbh I am not sure it is even possible to land it with that degree of intensity without Phryne banging a guest star of the week every other episode, it's such an effective way to hyper-charge all the ways in which Phryne and Jack are Not Doing That and yet being more wildly intense about three seconds of eye contact than the three minutes of horizontal tango with whatever rando happens later in the episode.
