Mar. 25th, 2011 11:23 amIt's been a while since we had one of these, but don't worry: the show has been saving up some awesome in anticipation. >:D
Last time, Cha Song Joo cleaned up for the third time in a row with this amazingly dramatic ensemble:

Blindfolds and visual analogies are in for the well-dressed revolutionary this year!
HOWEVER, this week the dudes are making a comeback with a vengeance.
1.
I feel like I say this so often, but: WOO WAN. Look at your life! Look at your choices! It's hard to miss them, given the fact that they are BRIGHT YELLOW.

Yeo Kyeung is like, NO ROMANCE FOR YOU, mister, not until I am convinced I can look you straight-on without being BLINDED.

As always, it's even better when you contrast him with Lee Su Hyun in black and silver. I am sorry, Woo Wan, but your brooding will never carry the same weight until you have learned to change out of the lemon yellow for an angsty scene.
2.
Now, at first glance it may seem like our Woo Wan has decided to go for a more reasonable-looking outfit this morning . . .

Until we get a look at the WHOLE ENSEMBLE. Dude, what were you thinking? If you really wanted to match Miyuki (rocking out QUITE A LOOK her own self), you should have saved the yellow for today!

A close-up, the better to note the combination of the magenta-brimmed hat and the red-checked bowtie and handkerchief, PLUS the plaid jacket, all over the nice black-and-tan look from above. I don't know how - just - who would ever make the decision to put these things together? IN WHAT WORLD does this make sense?
The best part is that the jacket quite obviously belongs to this suit from an earlier episode, which apparently he loves so much that he can only wear it in pieces . . .
3.
AS HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED.

Coming back from a secret revolutionary business trip to Japan? Shaking your hips in a baseball tournament for your girlfriend? Plaid is for all occasions, guys, and Woo Wan is out to prove it to us. It admittedly looks slightly less ridiculous without the jacket, but only slightly.

A close-up on the bowtie, which is actually pretty cute. And on Woo Wan's awkward face, which is perhaps the expression of a man who has just realized he may be taking his love of plaid too far.
And yet. AND YET. Despite all of Woo Wan's incredible outfits in this episode, there is a challenger!
4.
Watch out, ladies . . .

SE GI HAS A NEW HAT.

And it is the GREATEST HAT EVER TO GRACE GENTLEMAN'S HEAD.
Se Gi, I know you were laying low the past few episodes, but you have Brought It. You have Brought It with a VENGEANCE. And I am so, so sorry I ever doubted you.
5.
I wanted to give this last slot to Miyuki and her lemon and her hat and her tiger-print blouse, and perhaps she deserved it more, but after what I have just inflicted on your eyes I really felt you guys deserved to see something that's legitimately classy.

So here, have Cha Song Joo, a million feet tall and impossibly gorgeous, serenely aware that she may not win the episode but at least she has never worn a plaid suit.

Date: 2011-03-25 06:15 pm (UTC)I have to say, I'm amused by the orange hat worn by the guy in the purple triangle suit and gold. It looks like (especially in the first picture) that he stole it from an Oklahoma State fan.

Date: 2011-03-25 08:38 pm (UTC)Hahaha yes, Tak Gu's ensemble is ALSO an excellent one. I can't really put it in the running because dude has worn the same purple triangle suit in about every episode . . . but on the other hand, every time it is with a different and more ridiculous hat! It is just that sadly it pales in comparison with THE HAT.
