This past week has been kind of surprisingly busy for me, in a good way. Some things I have done, not necessarily in order:

- got adopted by a roving band of geekboys in my hometown
- planned a tea party with some of my best friends from high school
- taught another friend how to bake
- went bar-hopping with my mother in New York City
- saw Ratatouille (so very good! People clapped in the theater! Admittedly, in Small Town That I Come From, I don't think this is unusual, but still. It was awesome.)
- played an intense all-night game of Apples to Apples
- agreed to help write a wacky X-Men/Carmen Sandiego crossover graphic novel
- retrieved my missing pants from batyatoon while kidnapping her for a lunch hour
- totally hooked a friend on Heroes
- resolutely vowed to return to New York to see the Mythic Creatures exhibit at the Natural History Museum that we missed this time around]
- dealt with a magically flammable, spontaneously recombusting pile o'wax during a blackout
- accidentally ended up in the Poconos while trying to get to an amusement park
- went on more roller coasters in a row than I have ever been on
- saw fireworks over the amusement park on the way back, while stalled at a roadside Pizza Hut when my poor friend who was driving us came down with a case of food poisoning as we drove out. We sat around for a couple hours waiting for him to feel better - if he hadn't we would have gotten a room at the roadside motel for the night, which at one point we were seriously considering - but in the meantime the fireworks came on, which we would not have gotten to see if we had left as planned, so, silver lining! And we did get home all right.
- in the midst of all this traveling, reread a lot of my favorite YA books from when I was younger, several of which will be the subject of my next post when I have time to sit down and write it out

So tell me: while this has been going on, what have I missed? Tell me something exciting you did over the past week!

It so very much is. We were also playing it the night of the blackout, which is why we were fairly blase about the mysteriously combusting pile o'wax for a while - it was like, "eh, we have light, we have Apples to Apples, so BURN ON, CRAZY FLAME. WE'RE ALL GOOD."

Dad and I rented Night at the Museum. It's ridiculous, but very much in the good way. XD

Ooooh, I have such a craving to see that. Everyone I know keeps looking at me like I'm crazy when I say so, because I don't usually like Ben Stiller, but . . . . wacky museum antics! What could be better!

Historical wacky museum antics, that's what! Also, Robin Williams as Theodore Roosevelt.
Also also, the fact that Dick Van Dyke as one of the retiring security guys had be thinking 'well, there's the problem, he's still in touch with Mary Poppins!' before the real source of the trouble came up. All in all, it wins.

Dick Van Dyke is also just kind of fantastic as a general rule. He gives anything +10 Points O' Cool.

Anyways.

I am going to have a thing in Finn journal re: PotC plot for great slowtiming if that's okay by you. And I am so absolutely at a loss for how Finn is going to reply to Paul there. My brainstorming techniques (uh, get really tired and hyper and try to write things) are failing. *sad*

*hugs!* Will e-mail you w/whether am going to be in Philadelphia long. It won't be longer than two hours though if there is much of one at all. :/.

And yes, that is totally cool - although it may be a little difficult writing in an OOM set further on than the thread we're doing? Because we don't know how interactions will be at that point. But we'll see how it goes!

*hugsback* Let me know! Really it will depend on how willing you are to lurk outside of the metal detectors instead of going through. But either way we shall talk.

It would be difficult. We can slowtime it there and back again? I'm sure Finn won't be in-bar for ages, anyways, as it'll likely be a huge setback so the whole completing of other stuff is good f'r me. Um. Once...I figure out how to tag. *kicks Finn*

I am totally willing to lurk outside of the metal detectors, I just amnae sure exactly where the outside part of them is. Because with transfers and stuff they don't make you go through security again. *handwaves* Will look at maps and figure out times.

I . . . would prefer not to start until other slowtime is finished. *sheepish* I'm sorry, I know, but I have no idea how Paul will be feeling after the other one for in case Finn blows up or not and yeah.

And if you can lurk outside metal detectors, I can find you (yay, R1 train). But is question of timing and lines and whether it is worth it for you, so. We will see how it goes! :D

No, no, totally understandable. Finn will not be sociable for a long time anyways so it gives us room for threadtime! Also I have no idea exactly how Finn will react depending on Paul etc.

anyways. I can't hang out with you tomorrow, D:. I would for great lurking because hurrah! but I just barely have enough time to run from terminal F to terminal A because there is almost no layover on this flight. Which is nice because yay, no layover but said because woe, no Becca.
