Thursday: SURPRIES SECOND JOB. It is at the student calling center, which means that a.) I applied on a whim and totally didn't expect to follow through on it/get the job, because I suck hardcore at phone conversations, but apparently my awkward responses come across as assured and considered during a phone interview . . . or something? and b.) I am going to hate myself a little for doing it. But it pays more than my other job for less hours, which means I will be doubling my income per week and can pay for all the texts I lust after need for my thesis, so money wins out and makes this a yay!

Friday-->Saturday: SURPRIES MUGGLE STUDIES FIC IDEA. I had been drawing a blank for many many weeks . . . and several frenzied hours of writing and and 7400 words later, I've got a completed story. I do not actually know if it is any good, mind - it is badly paced, uneven in its Britlanguage, and, I worry, terribly heavy-handed. But it's also possibly the longest fic I've ever written, or at least written in a really long time - longest non-school anything I've written in a long time, for that matter - and that's . . . pretty exciting for me. SURPRIES RETURN OF WRITING SKILLZ? Only time will tell!

And, Sunday: SURPRIES SWING DANCING. There is no bad.

So, while I have not yet actually done any schoolwork this weekend, I'm feeling very unusually productive and accomplished. Which is a marked change from the beginning of this week, when I could not even get the cap off a soda bottle. (SHUT UP. IT WAS DEFECTIVE I AM 90% POSITIVE.) So . . . I am feeling brightened! What things have brightened up your week?
