Just one Heroes query . . .

Are MohinderMattnMolly (M-cubed?) just all living off the proceeds from Papa Suresh's APPARENTLY BESTSELLING book? Those giant textbooks with color pictures really ain't cheap.

(And not a query, but a comment, or rather a comment-plus-request: this was a really damsel-y episode. Can we have Claire rushing into save somebody next time?)

Well, Matt is also a detective now- so money there. (But- considering child support... eh.) And if Mohinder is traveling around, lecturing- hopefully he's getting paid to do so.

I doubt it. Those lectures look like they'd about pay for . . . the trip to Cairo.

But no, I'm actually serious about the book. Where are the royalties going? EVERYONE OWNS IT. If Mohinder's not getting in on that he totally should be.

Well- wasn't Mama Suresh still around? She'd be getting a share of it as well. But if Mohinder's getting a share of it- that would explain how they can afford that apartment in New York City.

I want them to walk by a giant Papa Suresh Book advertisement plastered to a wall sometime, actually. With Mohinder holding it up with a really cheesy grin on his face.

I think we can probably chalk this one up to what proustian4eva and I are calling COMIC BOOK LOGIC.

Hey, how much do you think that textbook costs? If it's anything like what they charge us in the bookstore, four or five sales is like a month's rent.

And they can't even pull the Friends price-control crap for it, can they? D'oh. Though, I do think if an NY cabbie could apparently pay the rent there, an NYPD detective could, as well.

Though yeah, it's kind of random that Alejandro has that book and I couldn't find a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows anywhere in Morocco.

. . . . man, if it's considered a better sell than Harry Potter, it's no wonder Triple-M are living pretty well. I actually really like the idea that the book is a sekrit bestseller and Mohinder is just too embarrassed/clueless to mention. It explains so much!

Although I guess maybe Alejandro got it off Amazon.com.

:O!!! SOLUTION. Micah went into the amazon.com database and tweaked a few orders, and several weeks later millions of bemused people found a large and expensive textbook sitting on their doorstep.
