Yeah, it's definitely described as near Gloucester, and the area near Gloucester St matches up much better with the description of the neighborhood than the area near BU where 645 Comm is actually located, so my guess tbh is that he picked an area that he was thinking of and then changed the number to something that's nowhere near it so that nobody could pick out the actual house.
