It's Festivids! I received two extremely delightful Court Jester vids -- Make 'Em Laugh and Better Not Wake The Baby -- both in their own ways replete with incredibly good jokes and beautiful encapsulations of the Particular Energy of this movie.

There are also a bunch of other great vids this year; I haven't had a chance to watch all the ones I wanted yet but here's a bunch I enjoyed from my first pass:

beautiful vid that filled me with Emotion about this movie and all the very hot people in it

The Spear Cuts Through Water (The Spear Cuts Through Water)

beautiful book vid that evokes all the layers of the source text

Perfect Femme (Stick It)

it IS a femininomenon!! made me immediately want to go rewatch the whole movie

Arnaq (True Detective: Night Country)

I've not actually seen this show but the vid gave me chills

Enjoyed the Murderbot one a whole lot--loved the intro and the fast-flash through the media choices, plus the image for Sanctuary Moon. (Only quibble, which is a losing battle, I realize, is that I've always imagined Murderbot as more female-sounding. Maybe even female bodied.)

Watched the Severance ones too (because Severance! Love that show), and the second one got me thinking about how, yeah, even though Mark is the main viewpoint character, Helly's extra interesting because of the radical antipathy between her two halves. (I say this as of only watching the first episode of the new season.)

Ah ha, I wondered where the commenter who hadn't seen Severance but thought Apple TV should pay me 10 million dollars to use Phantom Stranger as a trailer for the show had come from. ;)

Thanks for the True Detective rec. It's rotisserie oven weather over here, so the chills were appreciated -- that corpsicle has no idea how good they have it.
