skygiants: Princess Tutu, facing darkness with a green light in the distance (tea party!)

After much sneaking around and bookstore-lurking and ranting at the libraries when they did not have it in yet, I have finally managed to finish Mothstorm, the finale of Philip Reeve's amazing VICTORIANS IN SPAAAAAAAAACE trilogy (I think it is actually called the Larklight trilogy, but I like mine better!)

People probably disagree with me on this, but I still think that Starcross is my favorite of the three books. HOWEVER Mothstorm did not disappoint either! I adore Art and his total nonchalance about being blown off into space, considering the number of times he has done so in the past; Charity Cruet is kind of adorable; Jack continues awesome; and I love Myrtle to a ridiculous, ridiculous degree, though I am not sure I love all the Myrtle-relevant plot twists (really, hardcore alien ladies? Really? But I am glad that Ulla feels the same way I do about it!). If you, like me, think that it is amazingly awesome when a prim Victorian miss decides that perhaps - just maybe - during very extroardinary circumstances, such as, for example, when the fate of the entire world is terribly threatened - it may be just possible to ignore questions of etiquette, then this is a series for you!
