My Vividcon Premiere Premiered! It is a Chicago Typewriter vid about revolution, reincarnation and RPF.

I received the best possible reaction I could have hoped for in premiering a vid for a show which I knew for a fact only two other people at the entire con had seen, in an overheard conversation between two strangers: "Was that Korean television?" "I don't know, but I ship it..."

Wow! I don't know the source material either, but it's a beautiful show and your cuts are superb. The juxtaposition of the bouncy song and the serious material works really well, in particular.

This vid is SO GREAT.

It's funny, I haven't heard the song in ages, since fun. was definitely a very short moment and I saw them three times in eight months, which was probably too much, but you totally took a difficult song that is maybe not actually about anything and make it actually meaningful for your editing. I need to watch the show now.

I honestly don't think I was aware of fun. at all until someone sang this song at a karaoke bar once and I suddenly became obsessed with it as a vid idea for this show! I'm so glad you liked it, please watch Korean Ghostwriter

I only know it from your previous mentions, but the vid encouraged me to search it out. I finished episode five, and I have a question that might determine how I watch the rest. I have a squick about harm to cats. Is there more to the cat Seol story, or can I pretend that she runs off and finds a nice family that loves her? Because if Baek Tae-min continues to hurt her, I might have to drop the series.

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT. Have no fear, Cat Seol suffers no further injury and one can very easily pretend that she ran off and found a better family. (We were honestly mad that the show didn't give us a happy rescue conclusion to her storyline onscreen, but things could definitely have been worse.)

THANK YOU! I sadly have no problem with child harm, or genocide, but dead cats piss me off every time. (I have a lot of fondness for Elizabeth Bear because the cat lived in Scardown, even though Toronto was smashed by an asteroid.)

(a) I don't think I saw the final draft of 1:25-1:30 before VVC and I love the changes, INDEED, WHO IS SHE (the other changes are also good, it just struck me the most)

(b) as much as I enjoy the dog and the sunglasses portrait, what you chose to condense into this vid made sense of the show for me I wouldn't have made it to on my own

In my head, it shakes out like this: a little while after the evens of canon, a nice young man runs into this couple who look shocked and delighted to see him, and he has no idea why famous writer Han Se Ju would have any idea who he is, because that's weird, right? And he has no idea why the heck he feels kinda like he knows Han Se Ju's girlfriend, because okay, everyone kinda feels like they know celebrities, they're celebrities, it's a thing, but Jeon Seol stays out of the spotlight and for the most part the media respects that and all so our nice young man is pretty confused by the way it feels like he recognizes her, too. And he's definitely not at all sure why famous writer Han Se Ju and his girlfriend are so intense about wanting to be his friend, but you know, they seem like good people, definitely simpatico, and this is probably the most interesting thing that's ever happened to him anyway, so why not go along with it?

And Hijinks Ensue.

I also have watched this NUMEROUS times since I first saw it in the Vividcon streaming vidshow. And since my first reaction was "I am not sure what this is but I am PRETTY SURE I WANT MORE OF IT :-D" I was especially glad you had written up the post explaining what the show was so I would KNOW WHAT IT IS AND HOW TO FIND MORE. (Which I have not actually done yet. But soon!)

This vid makes me have so many feelings and I don't even really know who the people are yet. I can only IMAGINE how many more feelings it's going to make me have after I do!
