Dear Yuletide author, I am so glad you are writing for me and so sorry for being a criminal who has not managed to write this up until now! If something in this letter contradicts something that you've started thinking about based on the original signup, do not worry about it at all -- in all the years I have done Yuletide, I have never failed to be overjoyed by the gifts I've received, so if you write something that makes you happy, I guarantee I will be delighted with it also.

Generally speaking I am always interested in ensemble and family stories, community-building and community dynamics, revolutionary politics, messy parenting, antagonistic relationships with fate and destiny, and falling in love with ghosts! For my requests this year I'm generally more interested in expanding on canon than in going AU in either plot or setting, but I'm broadly pro canon divergence AU or crossover if you have a brilliant idea for one.

Some of these canons deal with some pretty serious topics, and dark themes are A-OK if it makes sense for the story, but I tend not to be into graphic and gratuitous violence. I'm happy for romances to include sexual content but I'd prefer it wasn't the entire point of the fic.

Specific requests:

살아남은로맨스 | Surviving Romance (Webcomic)

would truly love any fic for this canon! my truly special girls are Chaerin (Huisu), Jihyeon, Hana, and Rina but I genuinely love & would be excited to receive fic about anyone or everyone. postcanon reunions, friendships, metafictionality, lesbians, little pop rocks, any/all of the above!

As I said in the sign-up I'd truly be happy for anything you wanted to give me here. I have a soft spot for the Chaerin-(/?)-Jihyeon dynamic, and if you wanted to ship it in a postcanon world I'm here for it; I am also very proud of Rina for carrying the het rights for the entire webtoon and would be very happy to see her romance with Minwoo play out further! but I'd also be just as happy to focus on the friendships and the group dynamics, or to explore some of what's going on with Original Chaerin, or the Devil, or to get weird and meta in ways I haven't even considered.

I love this horrible little man and his bad parenting! I do not like very much that happened in the grand finale of the series! please tell me more about this horrible little man & do feel free to stick with canon or go wildly AU/fix-it. I love pretty much everything that happens in the book series through Graveyard Game, so if you wanted to take on anything that's going on with Joseph up to that point in canon I'd be really interested in missing scenes, further explorations of his dynamics with Mendoza or Lewis or Budu, or just general time travel adventures. I'm also really interested in canon divergence AUs -- what if Mendoza doesn't meet Edward Alton Bell-Fairfax? (god, if only!); what if Joseph does manage to rescue her from prison before Edward does, or actually have a conversation with her when they have their encounter on the pirate ship?; what if Joseph saves Lewis at the end of Graveyard Game?; or, conversely, what if Lewis disappears before Mendoza, and Joseph and Mendoza have to go in search of him instead? This would also be an extremely fun canon for surprise crossovers!

The Hazards of Love (Webcomic)

I love Amparo & I love to see them in situations! would be happy with any missing scenes from their time in Bright World (romantic w/Juliana? creepy w/El Cerribo? Just Other Weird Bright World Things?) or with canon-based AUs where they make different choices at various points!

I don't have a lot more to say about this one, Amparo is so precious to me and to be honest I just want to spend more time with them! Also, I'll be honest, I made this character nomination list when I thought Amparo's grandmother would be around a lot more and I would kind of love a world in which Amparo was just hiding her grandma's ghost from El Cerribo for months.

If you're having second thoughts about whatever we matched on, try playing this! It will only take an hour of your life [plus the rest of your life being haunted by it!]

Our Game - John le Carré

we get so much of Tim, would love a Larry POV on Tim and The Situation; would also love a character study of Checheyev or postcanon about Tim & Checheyev working together round the gap Larry left. Would also not at all mind "perhaps Larry ISN'T really dead!"

Tim is one of history's most unreliable narrators and for this book I would enjoy very much getting a look on some of the events of the book and its aftermath through someone else's (presumably equally unreliable and unhinged) eyes. I also was so curious about Checheyev (how did this man end up working for the KGB at all? how did he find his way back to Larry with this wild scheme?) and I think Checheyev and Tim have the potential to form almost as codependent and dysfunctional a dynamic as either of them had with Larry if they put their minds to it. OT3 with a ghost! ... and when I typed that I meant it as a metaphor but now that I'm thinking about it actual ghost Larry would also be a great time.
